Entry Limits
To better serve participants in 2009, the Bay Race has set the following limits:
- 30k Walk/Run — 6,200 participants
- 5k — 1,800 participants
- 3-person Relay teams — 250 teams
- 2-person Relay teams — 250 teams
Register early to avoid disappointment! In 2008 the limits were filled 2 months prior to race weekend.

Registration Policies
Please read carefully before registering for any event(s).
- No refunds or transfers.
- Participants unable to participate may pick up their runner packet and turn in their timing chip. Or they may have someone else pick up their packet for them. Their representative must show a copy of the participant's race confirmation and a note authorizing the representative to pick up the packet, in order to claim the packet.
- Participants unable to get to packet pick-up may have someone else pick up their packet for them. Their representative must show a copy of the participant's race confirmation and a note authorizing the representative to pick up the packet in order to claim the packet.
- Participants may switch races by notifying the Bay Race office of their request by e-mail to by March 1, 2009. After that date switches may be done at Packet Pick-up HELP DESK at the Expo. Please pickup your packet prior to attending the HELP DESK. All requests must be accompanied by a $15 processing fee. An increased cost will be incurred when switching from a 5k to 30 distance.
- Relay teams may make substitutions to their team. Have the substitute submit their particulars with a note as to whom they are replacing on which team, and bring to the Expo – Packet Pickup HELP DESK when you pick up your team packet. All requests must be accompanied by a $15 processing fee.
- Participants must be 15 years of age on race day to participate in the Around the Bay 30k Road Race.
- Failure to return timing chip will result in a $40 replacement fee, due no later than 30 days after the event.
